Thanks so much for the heads up about these books. I only now realized that Irene Luxbacher is Canadian! I loved How to Knit a Monster and Thank You, Omu! The Bootlace Magician is on my #MustReadIn2020 list.

I just recommended The Remember Balloons to a friend who wanted a book for her grandson, to help him understand what’s going on with his grandfather. It’s a lovely book. Thanks for sharing, Becky. I noted some new ones from your list.

Yes! I thought the Remember Balloons did a fantastic job of explaining something that can be difficult for a child to grasp.

Oh my, I’ve enjoyed a number of these titles, but I’m still anxiously waiting for Deep Underwater! I’m also looking forward to reading The Bootlace Magician after having just finished Circus Mirandus in November. I need to add Stonewall to my list, as well. Thanks for all the shares, Rebecca!

Cassie Beasley is probably my favorite Middle Grade author right now. I thought The Bootlace Magician was just as good as Circus Mirandus. Have you read Tumble and Blue by her yet?

No, I haven’t. But I see it’s on my Goodreads list (added in 2018). In fact, I made it very late to Circus Mirandus — but what a lovely world it was to fall into. ❤
