Full Review

Faber & Faber sent me a copy of this picture book and it is absolutely delightful. I am a big fan on silly fun books. I was also happy to find out how much my little one has learned too. There is so much to look at on each page. When I read it to my four-year-old we have a lot of fun reading it, but then he always wants to go back through it and look at the illustrations. He likes identifying all the different veggies.

Re-readability is so important with picture books. I appreciate all the small nods that are put in for the parents to enjoy. There’s a pumpkin that has David Bowie vibes and the Red Hot Chilis play at the concert too. It makes me smile every time we read it together and makes me want to pick it up again and again.

I also like that they have made an animated song out of the first part of the book. I have included it below. This has been fun to sing along as we flip through the book. I could see this being very valuable at library reading times. Definitely a good book for the kids to get their wiggles out.

I can’t get enough of the sax-playing broccoli!

Final Verdict

I would highly recommend this book to just about anyone! If you’re looking for a great book gift for a child, check this one out.
