Another week has gone by and Halloween is almost here! I have managed to squeak out more poems and drawings for Inktober. With just five more days to go, I’m in the home stretch and I think I’ll actually be able to accomplish this fairly lofty (for me) goal.
This is a true story. I really used to pretend that I could pop my eye out and spy on people.
That smooshed words in the 4th line are “your amber eyes steal”
See you next week for the thrilling conclusion of my Poetry Inktober Project!
Being able to pop out your eye sounds very Calvin-esque (a la Calvin and Hobbes). “Eyeball juices” makes me squirm! Nice collection, Rebecca.

Ha! I remember we used to imagine what we could do if one eye was on a finger! How high could we reach, around corners, behind our heads. Your clever “true” poem is wonderful. I also love that 'driving a stick'. All are fun, congrats for nearly done!

Squished by a rogue pumpkin, what a hilariously terribly (and autumnal) way to go! 😉

Hmmm…another spooky collection of poems for the season. I've enjoyed reading them and seeing your artwork. The pumpkin one made me laugh this week, and the eyeball juice made me squirm, too.
